Our historyIn the late fifties, founder Jerry Caldwell worked for Universal Controls and assembled some of the industry's first pressure and temperature test plugs. When Universal Controls closed its doors, Jerry teamed with an engineer and a rubber company to design a revolutionary new core with a pressure seal at the back that allows for a second seal and insures sealing without the need for the core to be pushed tightly against the retainer ring. In 1975, Jerry and wife, Christina, formed Texas Fairfax with a patent on the new, improved core.
